Hello
Legacy
Friends!
Welcome
to
the
first
digital
edition
of
The
Legacy
Voice.
The
LCRA
Executive
Team
has
recently
transitioned
the
Legacy
Voice
to
a
digital-only
format,
ensuring
more
timely
and
accessible
communication
with
Legacy
residents
via
email
and
social
media.
While
most
content
will
now
be
digital,
we
will
continue
to
publish
one
printed
edition
of
the
Legacy
Voice
each
year.
Legacy
residents
can
stay
informed
by
subscribing
to
our
email
updates
or
following
the
Legacy
Facebook
and
Instagram
pages.
There
are
many
benefits
to
this
approach,
including:
•
More
frequent,
timely
and
efficient
communication.
With
a
limited
number
of
volunteers
and
high
cost
of
production,
the
lead
time
to
produce
a
printed
Voice
is
quite
long,
limiting
us
to
sharing
information
on
a
seasonal
basis.
Going
digital
will
allow
us
to
share
information
closer
to
real-time.
•
Less
paper.
Each
printed
edition
has
us
filling
over
7,000
sheets
of
paper
with
two-sided
printing.
Couple
that
with
recent
evidence
suggesting
that
many
of
those
printed
Legacy
Voice
newsletters
go
straight
to
recycling
or
trash
bins
without
much
of
a
look,
and
it
makes
sense
to
save
that
paper
for
better
purposes.
•
Less
work,
more
focus.
A
printed
16-page
Legacy
Voice
takes
a
significant
amount
of
effort
to
produce,
including
team
members
involved
in
article
creation,
editing,
fact-checking
and
typesetting.
Beyond
that,
other
team
members
focus
on
securing
advertising
and
sponsorship
to
cover
the
production
costs
of
the
Voice.
Going
digital
takes
a
big
bite
out
of
this
effort,
allowing
our
small
team
to
focus
our
efforts
on
things
that
matter
more
to
us,
like
continuing
our
summertime
community
events.
Thanks
for
reading,
and
as
this
is
new
to
us,
please
“pardon
our
dust”.
We
expect
to
evolve
the
format
as
we
move
forward,
possibly
with
different
publication
tools
and
formats.

you

any
interest
in
helping,
